Beating The Common Cold

Taken from "Healing with Vitamins" - Dr. Elliot Dick is a professor of preventive medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and one of the country's most respected cold researchers.

Dr. Elliot Dick has given his formula for beating a cold:

He takes 2,000 milligrams of vitamin C an hour for 3 hours at the first sign of cold symptoms. "Usually the cold is gone by then , but if not, I'll take 1,000 mg an hour until it is . I thought it was a bunch of foolishness. Not anymore." (He cautions that daily doses of vitamin C larger than 1,200 mg can cause diarrhoea in some people, so experiment with the dose that's right for you.)

Vitamin C is amazing! Dozens of scientific studies have now proven that Vitamin C can , if taken in the right amounts, help to block cancer from forming in your body.
- It keeps arteries running clean and open, free of deadly plaque build-up.
- Prevents cataracts and preserve your clear vision for as long as you live.
- Greatly reduce your odds of suffering a heart attack...serve as a soothing balm to your allergies, ending wheezing and watery eyes.
- Dramatically lessen and even eliminate arthritis and joint pain, while building up strong new cartilage tissue and healthy ligaments.
- Boost your immune system so that you ca resist rampaging flu bugs and avoid having to stay at home, sick in bed.
- Keep your skin looking young, radiant, and wrinkle-free with a vitamin C skin cream.

And of course, let's not forget what made vitamin C famous - its fierce protective power against the common cold.
